Has anyone carried a motorcycle on their 4x4 in this way?
The maximum weight allowed on the tow bar is 75KG on a 2wd LT. Does anyone know what the maximum is for the 4X4?
My bike weighs 160kg including the rack.

diese träger von CATE sind für den "normalen 2wd" lt mit einer zugelassenen tragfähigkeit von 250kg.... das ist doch mal was...
da muß man nur noch die grundträger entsprechend ändern...

Thanks for the links. This is exactly what I have been looking for. A friend in the UK was insisting I would be overloading my 4X4, but it seems these racks are properly engineered.
I did notice that it only lists the LT28-35 and not the LT40. I guess that it should still fit as the chassis is the same. :doppel_top:

Hi Ray,

In most cases, the 4x4 has a registered max load on the tow bar of 100kg.

First, this depends on what you have built in and the load inside.
Second, you have to take into account the lever arm of the carrier behind the rear axle, you should not have more than the allowed load on the rear axle. Best will be to go on a scale with your fully loaded car.
